PUPILS at a Barnoldswick school switched from uniforms to PE kit for a day - to raise cash for the battle against world poverty.
St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School children took part in a dodgeball tournament - on a bouncy castle - to boost the Catholic international development charity CAFOD's annual Lent Appeal.
Class groups from throughout the school were split into teams to play against each other and raised £550 from sponsorship by family and friends.
Headteacher Natalie Wood said: “In previous years, each class within school has raised money for CAFOD during Lent with a weekly market stall. This year we decided it was time for a change – and what a wonderful change it was!
“With the support of our school community, we raised an incredible amount. Once again, the children have risen to the challenge."
