YOUNGSTERS at St Joseph's Catholic Primary School in Barnoldswick have been inspired by a story by former Poet Laureate Ted Hughes.
Class three children studied The Iron Man, written by Hughes in 1968, before writing diary extracts, and book reviews, and then developing their own versions of the story.
Headteacher, Natalie Wood, said: "As a result of all their hard work, they felt inspired to create their own Iron Man characters for display around the school.
"The children have really enjoyed reading this book and this clearly shows in their designs. Each one has a different style."
