YORKSHIRE Housing, which has properties across Craven, has welcomed the signing of a strategic partnership agreement with the Government’s Homes England.

Andy Gamble, Yorkshire Housing’s director of development, said:“We’re delighted to have signed a strategic partnership agreement with Homes England. This agreement will provide £62 million of extra funding which means a further 1,300 new affordable homes.

“The new agreement builds on our ambitious growth strategy to build a total of 3,120 new homes by 2021 and a further 3000 new homes in the Yorkshire region by 2026. This agreement will enable us to continue to play a major part in addressing the housing crisis and providing genuinely affordable homes in Yorkshire. The deal is done, now the hard work really starts.”

Yorkshire Housing says it is always seeking opportunities to deliver new homes for both rent and sale and welcomes interest from landowners, local authorities, house builders or developers.
