STEETON Male Voice Choir are out and about during the spring.

In late April the choir embarked on its annual tour, this time to Scotland where the singers were booked to perform at several venues.

First on the itinerary was Dunkeld Cathedral for a joint performance with the Strathspey Fiddle Band, performing songs like Impossible Dream, Fields of Gold, Bobby Shaftoe and Gwahoddiad.

The choir were also due to perform at East Fife and Musselburgh during their weekend north of the border.

The choir will perform at Otley Courthouse in May 18 at 7.30pm, with Manhattan Voices from Scarborough. Tickets cost £8.

They will then perform at Bradford Cathedral on June 1 at 7pm in a joint concert with the Clare Choral, who the Steeton singers performed during their Northern Ireland tour in 2017.

Tickets for the concerts are available by calling 01943 817341 or 07704 123176 or emailing tickets@steetonmalevoice.co.uk.

Also coming up at the Courthouse, on Friday May 10, will be comedian Andrew Maxwell with his latest show entitled Showtime, which had a long run at last year’s Edinburgh Fringe.

A memorable cocktail of observations and the odd surprise foray into character cameos, the performances won a barrage of five-star reviews.

Andrew is known for his eagle-eyed, passionate current-affairs comedy, showcased in his many appearances on TV, including Live At The Apollo, Have I Got News for You, Celebrity Juice and Mock The Week.
