MOTORISTS are breathing sighs of relief after roadworks which were causing long delays on the outskirts of Skipton have been lifted.
Work on installing fibre optic cables at the junction of the A65, A59, A629 and Gargrave Road approaches to the roundabout near Skipton Travelodge was expected to run to Thursday, May 9, but has been completed ahead of schedule.
There were long tailbacks on all roads in the area this morning (Wednesday) but traffic is now moving normally again.
