A PARTY of 14 Rotarians from The Netherlands revisited old friends when they spent a weekend with twin club, Skipton Craven Rotary.

The Dronten Rotarians visited Skipton Castle, Bolton Abbey, cruised on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal and explored Skipton Market.

Together, more than 50 Rotarians and friends boarded their own carriage on the Haworth Haddock and enjoyed a scenic journey along the Worth Valley Railway, followed by dancing at Keighley Railway Station to the music of Helter Skelter.

President Truus Schweringa of Dronten Club said she was delighted by the welcome she and the others had received and the beauty of the area, and that all members could see why Craven has been named one of the happiest places to live.

John Exley, president of Skipton Craven Rotary, presented each visitor from Dronten with a DVD of The Railway Children to remind them of their trip to Worth Valley Railway.
