THEATRICAL fun and games are to take centre stage in Keighley again.

Performing arts school Stage 84 is returning to host singing and dancing workshops themed around movies and musicals.

The free event takes place in the Airedale Shopping Centre on Saturday, May 25, between 11am and 4pm.

Children can participate in half-hour workshops, which will culminate with a performance.

There will also be live entertainment and Keighley College students will apply theatre-style make-up and summer-themed hair plaits.

The event is among a series staged by Keighley Business Improvement District (BID).

Discover Keighley team members will be on hand giving out free sweets and balloons.

Phil Walker, for Keighley BID, said: "We are delighted to be back in the Airedale Shopping Centre with this event, which is in its third successful year.

"We look forward to seeing again our previous young performers and of course welcome new aspiring singers and dancers to get involved in what's sure to be a very enjoyable day."
