A CROSS Hills developer has launched a charity fund.

Skipton Properties is giving away £1,000 every month to a worthy cause in areas where it is building.

The initiative will run until July next year.

Villages where charities or community groups could benefit include Haworth, Glusburn and Harden.

Caroline Verity – sales, marketing and design director at Skipton Properties – said: “Caring for the community is one of our core values.

“We’ve helped local sports clubs, community groups, charities supporting research into diseases such as cancer, causes helping wounded soldiers, hospices, hospitals and village halls – and we want to help even more this year.

“We’d like to hear from charities in the towns and villages of each of our current developments and those launching this year. Our only criteria is that the charity benefits local people, because we’re fully committed to enhancing the communities in which we operate.”

Applications will be reviewed on a monthly basis, in advance of the following month’s charitable donation.
