KEIGHLEY Soroptimists have celebrated the group’s 85th charter anniversary.
A lunch at Keighley Golf Club was attended by fellow Soroptimists from across the region and the Yorkshire president.
Guests also included representatives of Rotary and Mama Na Mtoto, a charity supported by the Keighley club.
Speaker was Pam Essler, deputy chairman and lay member for patient and public involvement at Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven Clinical Commissioning Group.
She spoke about how the NHS had developed in the 30-plus years she’d been involved and the extent to which women had been instrumental in achieving the range of services now available.
