MUSIC fans from far and wide will be making their way to Barnoldswick this bank holiday weekend for the annual free Bands on the Square event.
There will be live bands performing in the town square for four days, from Friday evening to bank holiday Monday, with entertainment running until late on Friday, Saturday and on Sunday.
Friday’s line up, from 6.30pm, will include Wright Said Hodge, Ginjammers, Tickety Boo, Maddie G and George, and Ben Blue Waters; on Saturday, from 12 midday to 10.30pm, bands include Spacebats, Hotdog Hobos, and Bon UK and on Sunday, bands will include Midlife, Critical Reaction and Facemelters. On Monday, from midday to 7pm, the line-up will include J-Bear and the Giants and Jessica and the Ragged Company.
Cllr David Whipp, one of the organisers, said: “The organising team is really looking forward to putting on our ninth event – this year over four days during the Bank Holiday weekend. I would like to say a big thank you to all the volunteers who make the event possible and all the performers who take to the stage. We’re ready for a fantastic few days in Barnoldswick.”
