ESTATE agents Dacre, Son and Hartley, has appointed a new lettings manager, Macaulay Thompson, as part of its ongoing expansion of its lettings department.

Mr Thompson, who lives in Cross Hills, and was previously with a lettings business in Bingley, will look after Skipton and Keighley.

“I started my career in property straight from school as an apprentice and enjoy everything about the fast-paced lettings industry. I now feel it’s the right time to move to a bigger firm and take on more responsibility. There is a great opportunity for me to develop my career at Dacres and I will be covering a large patch across Keighley, Skipton and up into the Dales,” he said.

“My aim is to grow the company’s market share in the Skipton area. It’s a popular town with lots of professionals attracted by the employment opportunities in the area and good transport links; lots of people are keen to retire here too. Dacres markets everything from apartments and terraced homes through to grand detached properties and my focus will be on increasing our visual presence in the immediate locality.”

Emma Kerrywood, who heads up the lettings division across the firm’s 20 offices, said: “Macaulay is very driven and has a sound understanding of the lettings market locally – he is a welcome addition to our team. His appointment takes the total number of people working within our lettings division to 18.”
