THREE Peaks Arts is to take part in All Stations Go! - a collaboration involving the Settle-Carlisle Railway Trust and Northern Rail for a second year running.

The weekend event in July will see artists exhibiting their work in stations at Ribblehead, Horton-in-Ribblesdale and Settle.

It will also coincide with the 10th anniversary of Settle’s Gallery on the Green - one of the first traditional red telephone boxes to be adopted by the community, and believed to be the smallest art gallery in the world.

A spokesperson for the group, which was formed in 2017, said: “ Having the opportunity to exhibit in these special spaces offers a unique experience to both artists and visitors. All Stations Go! will see over 20 artists exhibiting work.”

Three Peaks Arts members include painters, printmakers, ceramicists and textile artists, giving visitors a wide range of art to view.

Ribblehead Station, set in remote landscape and overlooked by both Whernside and Ingleborough, will also host artist-led workshops with an artist-in-residence making work throughout the weekend.

There will also be workshops at the station in Horton, where artists including Rachel Thornton, Hester Cox and Rachel in the Dales Pottery will be exploring a variety of artistic processes at throughout the weekend.

Visitors at Settle Station will also be able to enjoy the site of The Waverly passing through on the Sunday, where artwork will be on show in the station waiting room.

The spokesperson said: “Families are welcome to participate at all three stations by creating their own postcards as a record of this special weekend.

“Whether you manage to visit all three stations or make it to a workshop at one, this event promises to be a wonderful and unique experience for all who take part.”

All Stations Go! will take place on Saturday, July 5 and on Sunday, July 6., between 10am and 4pm.
