FANTASTIC renditions of classic songs are promised in the High On Harmony Show at Silsden Town Hall.

The building’s Friends group are hosting the show on June 22 as the latest presentation in their new programme of regular live music.

High On Harmony is a collaboration between singer-songwriters the Haley Sisters, who perform Americana, country and blues music accompanied by Sliding Smithy, and Simon and Garfunkel tribute group Jester B.

The Haley Sisters, who group in Harden, first appeared professionally in 1989 and have been performing ever since, and numerous theatres, arenas and festivals, and a sell-out show at the London Palladium. Last year they opened for the Roy Orbison Hologram Arena tour.

Jester B, a duo made up of Jeremy Woodhead and Bryan Thomson, have always had a passion for acoustic music and harmony singing.

Initially a trio, which included Jeremy’s older brother, Stephen, they would perform at venues in the Leeds area.

A spokesman said: “It was the positive response from their audiences which prompted them to take a serious look at what they were doing.

“Their blend of finely-honed vocals and accurate renditions of classic songs, an inclusion of self-penned and collaborative songs and their stage presence, form the keystone to a splendid live show.”

The show begins at 7.30pm.
