PEOPLE are being invited to bring their own chairs and enjoy an afternoon of music and entertainment at a garden party to mark the handing over of a Rotary Club presidency in North Craven on Sunday (June 30).

Bob Hargreaves, outgoing president of Settle Rotary Club is due to hand over this weekend to new president, Roger Brearley.

And, to mark the occasion, the club is staging a garden party at the home in Eldroth, near Austwick, of fellow Rotarian, Floyd Scofield.

The event, at Elder Heath Barn, will be open to all, whether connected to the Rotary Club, or not, and will raise money for charities and good causes in the Settle area.

Tickets are £10, but free to children and students, and will include food and a soft drink. There will be music from Settle Brass Band and Jack Miller, and plenty of car parking.
