EQUINE Management Level 3 student Emma Grange is celebrating both the completion of her extended diploma in horse management at Craven College and the opportunity to work for up and coming local event rider James Rushbrooke.

International event rider James, is based at Weeton, where he runs his successful event yard, with horses competing at all levels from BE100 up to 4* international events.

Emma is delighted to have the opportunity to work for James full time following completion of her course. She completed her work experience, which forms part of the qualification, with James over the last two years.

Penny Ralph, equine tutor, said “We are all really proud of Emma. She has worked hard and her efforts have been rewarded with this wonderful opportunity with James Rushbrooke.”

Emma has studied a range of subjects at Craven College from event management, riding and stable management, through to rehabilitation and therapy of horses, which will help her in her chosen career path.

As part of the equine course Emma brought in her unbroken three year old horse Freya. Since returning home Freya has won the in-hand championship at their local show.
