TWO exhibitions taking place at Gavagan Art, in Settle, are photography by Paul Kenny, and watercolours by Norman and Anna Adams.
Paul’s exhibition: ‘O Hanami - The Celebration Of Transient Beauty’ ties together several threads of his work from 1995 through to previously unseen images made in 2018 and can be seen in the larger of the gallery rooms,
This exhibition coincides with the publication of Paul’s new book O Hanami, published by
Kozu Books. The foreword for the book is by Francis Hodgson, Professor in the Culture of
Photography at the University of Brighton and the photography critic of the Financial
Times.
Anna and Norman Adams’ work has been displayed at the gallery each year since 2010.
This year the display will include watercolours of Provence as well as a number of watercolours of Yorkshire.
Landscape and animal paintings by Anna Adams will be shown together with a small display of her ceramics.
The exhibition opened on Saturday, July 13, and runs until August 17.
The gallery is open between Thursday and Saturday, from 11am to 4pm.
