THE MAIN road through Cross Hills was closed for an hour this morning after a crash involving two cars.
A BMW 3 Series was involved in a collision with another vehicle at around 8.45am on Station Road near the junction with Primrose Street.
A 21-year-old woman in one of the cars was taken to hospital but her injuries were not believed to be serious. One of the cars was driven by a 40-year-old woman from Framlington in Northumberland.
The A6068 Main Street in Cross Hills was closed, with queues in both directions, following the accident.
The road reopened at 9.40am.
