ADULTS and children will be able to give fishing a go at a free parent and child day at Kilnsey Park, Kilnsey on Monday, July 29.
Part of National Fishing Month, which aims to encourage people to have a go at fishing, the visitor centre has organised a free event for families to learn how to fish together.
Under the care and guidance of its qualified angling coach Jeff Metcalfe, visitors will be introduced to the basics of fishing with the aim of learning how to catch their first trout. There will also be a prize for the team which catches the most fish.
Each parent and child coaching slot will be 90 minutes long and there will be no charge, although there will be a charge for any fish taken home. All fishing tackle will be supplied. To find out more visit: kilnseypark.co.uk/store/tc-events/parent-and-child-fishing
