PEOPLE in West Craven are being invited to share any concerns about their community with the leader of Pendle Borough Council this weekend.

Councillor Mohammed Iqbal will be at the West Craven Sports Centre in Barnoldswick for an hour on Saturday morning, August 3, as part of a regular ‘Let’s Talk’ roadshow across the borough.

The roadshows will take place at different times, days and venues to make sure that anyone who wants to meet with the council leader can do so over the coming months.

He will be joined by Dean Langton, the council’s chief executive, and ward councillor David Whipp.

Cllr Iqbal said: “It’s a real privilege to lead our borough which is full of amazing communities and businesses.

“People tell me that they want to know more about what the council is doing to tackle local issues. My response is Let’s Talk.”

He added: “We met with a number of residents at our first roadshow in Colne and we’re keen to meet more. We want you to be confident that we’re working hard on your behalf every day as we continue to make Pendle a great place to live, work and study in.

“We know there’ll be some hot topics from littering, dog fouling and how we’re tackling recycling.

“Whatever the issue or question – come and join us on Saturday and Let’s Talk.” The session will take place from 10am to 11am, appointments are not necessary.
