AS part of the annual Summer Reading Challenge, local youngsters were fascinated by Small Paul, a balloon entertainer, who made a special visit to Ingleton Community Library.
The library was bursting to the seams with toddlers and mums as Paul skilfully modelled balloons into objects based on the 2019 theme of 'Space Chase'.
Paul engaged with the youngsters and some helped him to reveal his creations.
Rockets, stars, the sun, Moon and Earth were all magically shaped out of simple balloons producing a magnificent, colourful display.
Finally, each child was enthralled as Paul created a flying mouse especially for them in their chosen colour. As a result of this enterprising free event, organised by the community librarians, some youngsters took the opportunity to have the next stage of their Reading Challenge signed off, which not only gained them stickers, but also took them one step closer to gaining their final certificate for reading six books or more over the summer holiday.
