A CHEMICAL company hopes a golf day will go a fairway towards helping a charity.

Cross Hills-based Airedale Chemical is staging the event at Keighley Golf Club on Friday (Sept 6), from 11am.

Proceeds will go to the firm's charity of the year, Sunbeam Support Group, which offers help following the loss of a baby.

The golf day is open to players of all abilities, and includes prizes for the longest drive and the player nearest the pin.

A two-course dinner will follow the golf.

The cost is £240 per team of four.

Chris Chadwick, Airedale Chemical managing director, said: "This is going to be a really fun and entertaining day out for local residents and businesses, with plenty of laughter and healthy competition.

"However, at the heart of the day will be the incredible work that the Sunbeam Support Group does with bereaved families. Every penny we raise will be a huge boost to the difference it's making to people’s lives."
