DIRECTORS from a firm of solicitors ran to the summits of Ingleborough and Whernside as part of their fundraising efforts for a children's hospice.

Alan Davidson, James Dunn and Felicity Green, of AWB Charlesworth Solicitors, which has offices in Skipton, have clocked up more than 70 miles of races between them to raise £500 for Martin House Hospice at Boston Spa.

Back in the spring, the three directors set themselves a target of running a marathon and raising £100 for the hospice.

They ended up running far more miles and raising five times their target, thanks to the support of colleagues, family and friends.

Felicity Green, director and practice manager said: "Our races included the Burnsall Half Marathon, Cookridge 10k, Wharfedale Half Marathon, Richmond 10k, Bolton Abbey Solstice Saunter and Leeds 10k.

"The final push was a challenging run up and down Whernside and Ingleborough in the bank holiday weekend sunshine."

She added: "We would like to thank all those who supported our ‘Martin House Miles’.’

The firm organises a variety of fundraising initiatives each year in support of Martin House.
