A MAN had to be rescued from barbed wire after he got tangled up while trying to free his dog.
Two fire crews from Skipton were sent to Bolton Abbey at just after 5pm on Tuesday, September 3, and used bolt croppers to cut the man free.
A spokesman for the fire service said the man's springer spaniel dog had got caught up in the wire and the owner attempted to free it but got tangled himself.
Both the man and his dog were freed without injury.
