LIVE music returns to the Cruck Barn in Appletreewick with an October 4 concert by Mike Silver.

Returning to the venue, attached to the Craven Arms pub, 70s hit maker Mike will capitalise on the resurgence of interest in his music.

The first signing to Elton John’s famous Rocket label, he became a huge Radio 2 favourite with his song Not A Matter Of Time.

He recently signed to hip folk label Folkstock Records and released a 'Best Of...' album, attracting a new group of fans who love his warm, heartfelt vocals, his dazzling expertise on the guitar, and his literate songs.

Support comes from Cruck Hall regulars Plumhall, the award-winning songwriting duo of Michelle Plum (ex Chumbawamba/Chris Norman Band) and Nick Hall (Hall Brothers/ex Magna Carta).

The pair organise the regular music evenings at the Cruck Barn.

Plumhall recently wrote a song for forthcoming film The Runaways – and also appear in it – and they sang at the London Palladium as guests of Al Stewart.

Coming up at the Cruck Barn this season our Des Horsfall's Kuschty Rye on November 15 and, making his umpteenth return, Ian McNabb from The Icicle Works on December 20.

The latter show always sells out in advance so fans are advised not to delay booking tickets.
