'CLOSING down' signs have appeared on Skipton's House of Fraser store, Rackhams.
The signs appeared on the High Street department store, on the same day Mike Ashley, of House of Fraser parent company, Sports Direct, was due to meet with shareholders.
There was great relief in Skipton towards the end of last year when it was announced Rackhams was not one of the House of Fraser stores to be closed after the business was bought by Sport Direct.
It is believed staff were told about the closure yesterday (Tuesday) and that the last day of trading will be on December 11.
