AUSTWICK villagers, who have been taking part in cardiopulmonary resuscitation sessions (CPR) are extending the use of their equipment to local villages.

Austwick village has been able to run four sessions of the Call, Push, Rescue initiative promoted by British Heart Foundation, for local residents over recent months using equipment that has been purchased using funds from the Townhead Surgery charity fund.

The equipment consists of 10 manikins to practice skills on and a DVD that provides all the teaching so that special qualifications in CPR instruction are not needed by whoever runs the sessions.
