In addition, guest soloist Sarah Evans will play Bach’s Cello Suite No 1 in G major.

The soloists will be Megan Clark Soprano; Richard Cressal Baritone, with the society's director of music Robert Webb conducting.

Charlie Dobson will play the organ, and Jerry Davies the piano.

Skipton Choral Society is a mixed choir of 60 to70 singers and is open to anyone who enjoys singing. It covers a wide range of types of music, mainly traditional but also some more innovative pieces.

Its members are of varied skills - a basic ability to read music is all that’s needed. It has been going since 2013 and while based in Skipton, members come from many surrounding towns and villages.

Its year runs from September to July, performing three major concerts each year as well as occasional public engagements such as carolling.

The concert on November 24 will start at 3pm, tickets £10 from choir members, on the door, or by email: tickets@skiptonchoral.com.
