CONCERT and Cakes kicks off the new Autumn season this month in Burton-in-Lonsdale with a programme of beautiful music.
The winners of the Chris Rowland International Chamber Music Award from the Royal Northern College of Music, the Larisa Trio will perform a programme of Haydn, Debussy and Gershwin.
Following the hour long concert, there will a chance to meet the performers over a cup of tea or coffee, and delicious home-made cakes, of which the concerts are now famous.
A spokesperson for Concert and Cakes said entry to the concerts remained free, with people invited to make a donation at the end of the evening.
“We continue with the tradition of free entry, and so there are no tickets or seats reserved. We will invite people to show their appreciation for the music with a donation afterwards and there is a modest charge for the refreshments.”
Coming up next month, on November 16, will be the multi-talented Ensemble Cosmopolitan playing flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and horn, also from the Royal Northern College of Music.
The Larisa Trio concert will take place at All Saints Church, Burton-in-Lonsdale, on Saturday, October 19 at 2.30pm.
