A DISQUALIFIED driver gave police false details when he was arrested behind the wheel of a car.
Blackburn magistrates heard when he got to the police station Azeem Wajid admitted his true identity.
Wajid, 35, of Shear Brow, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to obstructing a police officer, driving while disqualified and without insurance. He was made subject to a community order for 18 months with 80 hours unpaid work. He was banned from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay £85 costs and £90 victim surcharge.
Zabair Afzal, defending, said at the time he was stopped his client was moving the car from one street to the next and had no intention of going anywhere else.
