SIR - The skate park in Settle is a bit like Brexit.
Everyone knows what they don’t want.
Why has the initial proposal of a site by Booths been turned down?
It was a great place for lots of children to have fun.
The area at the moment is like an allotment that someone has but can’t be bothered to maintain. (Run down)
Some one mentioned that it would not happen there, because of a sad occasion and it was in memory of a child.
But surely what a fantastic memory of that child, would be to make it a happy vibrant place for hundreds of children.
It took Ingleton two years to build a fantastic venue. It’s taken 20 years in Settle to go backwards.
Again a bit like Brexit.
