Police said there are no further updates at the moment, other than the man was aged 50 and that details had been passed on to the coroner.
No name has been released by the police at this time.
The deceased had been found in the Skipton Woods area of Chapel Hill by a member of the public.
Police said they were contacted at 6.50am and emergency services attended the scene where the man was pronounced dead.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said: "Inquiries are ongoing to determine the circumstances around the man's death which at this stage are not thought to be suspicious."
