BRASS band afficionados are in for a treat next week when the City of Bradford Brass Band rolls into Skipton.

Hosted by The Rotary Club of Skipton, the band, which can trace its history back to the early part of the 20th century, with origins in the Salt’s Mill Band of Saltaire, will be in concert at Holy Trinity Church, High Street, on Saturday, November 2.

What was named the Hammonds Hawley Brass Band in the mid 1990s became Yorkshire Building Society Concert Brass, before being renamed the City of Bradford Brass Band.

Doors open for the concert on November 2 at 7pm, for a 7.30pm start. tickets £12 from Carling Jones, 68 High Street, Skipton. All profits will go towards the Rotary International End Polio Now campaign.
