SIR - Your paper accurately reported my comments made at Skipton Town Council recently about Extinction Rebellion (Town council to consider 'climate emergency' call, October 31)
However, the article did not report my comments in support of action to increase sustainability and to better look after our environment. I fully support councils looking at how to play their part in this. Craven Council is doing a lot to help, with its simple recycling bin policy, its Green Award scheme, its decision to install charging points for electric cars in its car parks. Skipton Town Council is actively looking at what it can do within its remit.
We clearly all have a responsibility to do what we can to reduce our negative impact on the world we live in.
