A WIDE variety of sustainable gifts will be on offer at a Christmas market at Settle Victoria Hall on Saturday, November 30.
Organised by Melanie Shears, Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust (YDMT) ambassador and environmental conservation apprentice, it will include the eco-friendly products of around 15 businesses and suppliers including gifts, decorations and sweet treats.
It has been made possible with funding from the Youth Environment Action Fund which is provided by Green Futures through YDMT, providing support for young people to set up and deliver small scale environmental projects.
Melanie said she hoped lots of people would support the event. “Increasingly, people are making small changes to live their lives in a more ethical and less consumerist way; so why not take the opportunity to make another small change this Christmas and ditch the mass produced in favour of the handmade and locally produced.”
The market will be open from 11am to 4pm.
