FOR one extraordinary day in the summer Craven was the centre of the sheep industry – and the results have now brought lasting rewards across the region.
The National Sheep Association chose Rathmell for one of its most prestigious events, attracting thousands of people from every corner of the UK to Frankland Farms for its biennial NSA North Sheep gathering.
Shortly afterwards the Frankland family held a lively ‘Sheep Shed Shindig’ drawing a big turnout of friends, family and supporters who helped organise the NSA event.
Now the final fundraising total has been unveiled and Yorkshire Air Ambulance is to receive more than £6,600.Jacky Frankland said:“It was a fantastic event for everyone involved and we are delighted to be able to make this contribution to such a worthy cause as the air ambulance. The sum raised reflects the support of the entire NSA membership.”
