SKIPTON Community Orchestra will be performing its traditional selection of Christmas music and carols on Sunday, December 8 at Holy Trinity Church Skipton.

The programme will include favourites, Carol of the Bells, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Let it Snow, Here Comes Santa Claus, together with much-loved themes from films, Home Alone and Frozen.

There will also be plenty of opportunities to join in with the carol singing, and there will also be a rendition of 12 Days of Christmas.The orchestra is known for its family-friendly performances and there will be a chance for children to get involved with percussion instruments and bells.

The concert, at 2pm is free, but there will be a retiring collection for Craven children’s charity, Skipton Extended Learning for All (SELFA).

Established in 2012, the orchestra welcomes musicians of all ages and abilities, members currently range from 11 to 70 years old. It meets on the second and last Tuesday of every month at Holy Trinity Church at 7.30pm.
