A DISCO Zumba marathon created all the right moves for Manorlands.

The two-hour event, at Silsden Town Hall, raised £1,287 for the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice.

Helen Leighton holds Silsden Disco Zumba sessions at the town hall every Monday evening.

And she teamed-up with the Silsden and Steeton Manorlands fundraising group for the special marathon.

In addition to entry fees, cash was raised through a raffle.

Manorlands fundraiser Andrew Wood met Helen, her regulars and support group members the following evening and thanked them for their backing.

“The amount raised was amazing and it will make such a difference to our patients when they need us most,” he said.

“A big ‘well done’ and thank you goes to all involved.”

All Manorlands services are free to patients and their loved ones, but it costs £9,000 a day to keep the hospice doors open.
