AN exciting pre-Christmas lunchtime recital is promised at Airton Friends Meeting House near Malham on Sunday (December 22).
Cellist and former Ermysted's pupil Ben Finlay together with fellow Royal Academy student, soprano Milana Sarukhanyan, will be performing a programme of English, Russian and Ukrainian music.
The concert will include voice, cello and piano, and, specifically, Tavener’s Akhmatova Songs - based on the work of Soviet modernist poet, Anna Akhmatova.
Entrance is free, with donations on behalf of the performers and Airton Friends Meeting House.
The concert will start at 1.15pm and last for around 90 minutes.
