MOTORISTS face delays on the A629 between Skipton and Keighley this month as drainage work is carried out.
North Yorkshire County Council says the work, to the east of Kildwick roundabout, is essential to prevent flooding at the spot.
The scheme – which began today – will involve alternate inside-lane closures for about a fortnight, followed by the closure of both outside lanes for a further two weeks.
A temporary 40mph speed limit has been imposed.
A county council spokesman said: “The work is scheduled for completion by January 31 but the date is subject to change due to such as bad weather.”
