A TALK on the climate crisis is due to be held in Skipton on Wednesday, January 15.
‘Heading for Extinction (and what to do about it)’ will be hosted by Extinction Rebellion Skipton and The Dales and will feature speakers on the subjects of the latest climate science and evidence of ecological breakdown.
They will also discuss where the planet is heading, and what the world together can do about it.
Members of the Extinction Rebellion group last year made presentations to both Craven District Council and to Skipton Town Council.
Craven council declared a climate emergency last year, along with several other local authorities, such as Pendle Borough Council, and pledged to what it could to slow climate change, including the planting of trees and the cutting down of single use plastic. It has also said it will continue to engage with groups such as Extinction Rebellion.
The talk at St Andrew’s Church Hall, Newmarket Street, will take place from 7pm to 8pm, refreshments will be available, all welcome.
