A RETROSPECTIVE planning application to retain a rear porch built onto a cottage in High Bentham looks set to be allowed.
The application for 2 Ashfield Cottages, in Main Street, also refers to an amendment to the roof. It was referred to the district council’s planning committee by Councillor Linda Brockbank over concerns for the ‘significant loss of light and amenity to the neighbouring property and the adverse impact on the setting of a listed building’.
The porch measures approximately two metres wide and extends approximately 1.23 metres from the rear elevation.
There is a shared access to the rear of the properties.
Craven District Council’s planning committee has been asked to approve the plans.
