BURGLARS have targeted Tosside twice and Austwick once in the same day.

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses and information about the incidents which took place between 9.15am and 4.45pm on Monday, January 27.

A property on Longtons Lane, Tosside, was entered by smashing a rear window pane. The incident took place between 11.10am and 4.45pm though it is believed that no items were taken.

Also in Tosside, a burglary took place on the same day between 9.15am and 3.45pm. Items of jewellery and cash were taken.

On Eldroth Road, in Austwick, a property was burgled between 12.30pm and 3.30pm and jewellery was taken.

A police spokesman said: "We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incidents.

"In particular, we are appealing for information about any suspicious vehicles that were seen in the areas around the times.
