TWELVE-times world motorbike trials champion Dougie Lampkin is to speak about his life and the sport.
The Lampkin family, from Silsden, has been winning British and world championship titles for over 65 years.
Dougie secured his first British crown as a schoolboy in 1991, and took his first world title six years later.
He was awarded the MBE for services to sport.
In 2016, he took on a new challenge – riding a motorbike around the 37-mile TT course on the Isle of Man, on one wheel!
Dougie is speaking at a meeting next Tuesday (March 3) of the Girder Fork and Classic Motorcycle Club, at Steeton Hall at 7.45pm. Anyone is welcome to attend.
A collection will be taken for the club’s chosen charities, Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice Manorlands and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
