THE Co-op is set to serve up a larger, new-look food store in High Bentham tomorrow on Friday (February 28) following a £1.3 million investment.

Four new jobs have been created at the store, on Main Street, which is now 1,400 sq ft larger and is run entirely on renewable electricity.

Gary Redpath, Co-op area manager, said: “We are delighted to have had the opportunity to make such a significant investment in our High Bentham store which will help us to better serve the needs of the community.

“It will have a great new look and bigger range and the team is looking forward to welcoming customers back into the store.”

He added: “We also want customers to know that they can become a co-owner and member of their Co-op – our members help us to make a difference locally, raising money for local causes simply by swiping their membership card when they shop with us.“

The re-vamped store will include self-service tills, an in store bakery and cash machine, plus a focus on fresh, healthy foods and a new vegan range.
