THIS year’s Pendle Business Awards, set to take place on Thursday, July 23, has been postponed.

Pendle Council and Pendle Vision have taken the difficult decision to delay the event following advice from the Government’s medical experts in response to the coronavirus.

Councillor Mohammed Iqbal, leader of Pendle Council, said: “We’ve been monitoring the developing coronavirus situation on a daily basis and our top priority is the safety and wellbeing of our guests, suppliers, employees and their families.

“It’s disappointing to delay this year’s Pendle Business Awards but it’s important we heed the experts’ advice as a precaution against the spread of the virus.

“We’re making this decision now because we don’t know what the impact will be over the coming months.

As soon as we have an alternative date we will let you know. Entries are closed for now and will re-open once we have a new date.”
