A MAN who is alleged to have spat twice at a woman standing at Skipton Bus Station is being sought by police.

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses and information to the incident which is said to have occurred at 2.40pm on Saturday, March 14 2020.

A police spokesman said: "It involved the victim being approached by a man who spat at her twice before walking off. It is believed that the victim was targeted due to her ethnicity.

"We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

"In particular, we are appealing for any witnesses to come forward and for any information about the identity of the suspect.

!The suspect is described as a white male, aged in his 20s, slim build, 6ft in height, shaved head with a tattoo on his neck."
