THE SHERATONS are raving and drooling despite losing their headline slot at a Manorlands music festival this summer due to coronavirus.

The local indie-rock band, regular performers in Keighley in Silsden, still have the release of their latest single to look forward to.

Raving and Drooling is the title of the band's third single, which is due out on Thursday April 9, and according to critics it's going to "hit you like a ton of fresh-pressed bricks".

The band, average age 19, have again worked with Sugar House Productions, who have previously collaborated with bands such as Viola Beach and Glass Caves.

A spokesman said: "Raving And Drooling has all the energy, youth and straight-to-the-point attitude needed to propel The Sheratons into 2020 with soaring heights.

"Since the band's formation they have caught the ears of BBC 6 DJ Steve Lamacq and BBC Introducing DJs such as Alan Raw and Jericho Keys.

"They are fronted by singer and lead guitarist Kane Bulleyment whose voice sounds like it belongs to someone 10 years older and two feet taller."

The line-up is completed by Alex Creasy playing bass, Finley Ryan on guitar and “cymbal slaying extraordinaire” Emma Liu on drums.

The Sheratons' first single was summer 2018 track These Kids, followed by last year's Part Of A Picture which was described by Alan Raw as an instant Festival classic.

Renowned for spirited live shows – which would have included Cliffe Castle Park this summer in aid of Manorlands – they last year won the Yorkshire Soundwaves music competition final at a packed O2 Academy in Leeds.

The band passed is planned summer 2020 concerts were set to include the Bingley Weekender playing alongside acts such as The Libertines, Primal Scream, Peter Hook and Tom Walker.
