A MAN was found dead in Bournemouth after sending a text message of a noose to a friend.

Adrian Lukasz Malesa, aged 33, of Carysfort Road, Bournemouth, had recently split with his partner.

Mr Malesa, a chef by profession, was found hanging from a tree by a member of the public.

On Monday (March 30) at Dorset Coroner's Court, Bournemouth Town Hall, Assistant Dorset Coroner Brendan Allen presided over a short hearing which focused on the brief circumstances surrounding Mr Malesa's death.

In this hearing Mr Allen read from a statement prepared by Senior Dorset Coroner's Officer Ian Parry.

Mr Allen said: "On March 16, 2020, a friend of Mr Malesa raised concerns with police, after he was sent a text message with a picture of a noose.

"He was alcohol dependent but had not previously made threats to take his own life. However, the text message indicated otherwise.

"Police began searching for Mr Malesa but early on March 17, 2020, a member of the public driving in the Littledown area of Bournemouth found the body of a male hanging from a tree."

Police attended the scene and the death was confirmed by paramedics.

An investigation confirmed no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

Mr Allen adjourned the inquest until later in the year.
