STAFF at Skipton’s Craven Nursing Home have been working hard to boost morale and keep residents’ spirits up while they are forced to isolate during the coronavirus pandemic.

They are hosting weekly themed parties such as beach days and jungle fun.

The residents are getting involved too making decorations with the home’s activities coordinators.

They are particularly enjoying homemade cakes donated by local children during these parties.

Deputy manager Stephanie Bowers said staff were doing a superb job. She said: “These events are keeping morale up with the residents and staff during a very unsettling time.

“The residents are unable to have their family and friends visit, however we have organised tablets and Skype with quite a few family members so they can see and speak to loved ones.”
