HOME-shopping giant Damart – whose warehousing facility is at Steeton – is turning-on the style in support of the NHS.

The company is launching a new Rainbow collection, featuring 17 items of bright clothing and footwear, tomorrow.

Twenty-five per cent of the proceeds from sales are being donated to NHS Charities Together.

It is hoped to raise £10,000.

Claire Brown, Damart online merchandise manager, said: “We are all in awe of the amazing work being done by the NHS and everyone who works there during this current crisis. We wanted to say thank-you and do our bit to support our NHS heroes.

“We are launching the Rainbow collection tomorrow as Thursday is the day many people associate with the NHS as they take part in the evening clap from their homes.”

Damart has also been running competitions on social media for people to nominate ‘local heroes’ to receive pamper packages and gardening hampers.

Claire added: “There are many people out in the community going above and beyond what is expected to make life better for others during the Covid-19 pandemic and we wanted to say thank-you to them with a box of goodies.

“We’ve been overwhelmed by the response from our followers, with nominations showing incredible acts of kindness and hard work.”
